Welcome to the website of the Raunds Bridge Club. Raunds is a small town in Northamptonshire not far from Wellingborough. We are a small, friendly club who meet every Friday afternoon from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm at the Saxon Hall in the middle of town, (behind the Raund’s town council offices on Thorpe Street), where there is plenty of free parking space. We are in Hall 1 or sometimes the "Green" Room.
During the sessions both tea and coffee are inclusively provided for members and the cost of an afternoon's play is just £3.00. The Saxon Hall is equipped with both clean and well maintained kitchens and toilets. Annual subscriptions are currently £1.00.
We encourage players of all standards too join us. As Bridge is a partnership game, if a prospective member does not have a partner they should still contact the club and express an interest in joining as there may be someone in a similar position or an existing member who made need a partner occasionally. We have been established for more than 45 years and you can read about our club's history here.
If you like playing bridge on line, try our hand of the week. It's a good exercise in both bidding and playing and also some good defensive techniques are discussed. It's fully interactive and won't let you bid or play incorrectly.
We publish our tournament results every week on this website and they are also emailed to our members upon request.
We have provided a section on bridge etiquette and duplicate scoring for anyone who is not familiar and a complete beginner's course is available on this website.
If you would like to join us please telephone either Barbara on 07941 331 729 or Tony on 07889 468108 who will be pleased to hear from you. Alternatively email us contact@raunds-bridge-club.co.uk
